Avis is founded with only three cars in 1946 by Warren Avis at Willow Run Airport in Michigan. As it turns out, Avis was the first car rental service established at an airport. Shortly after that, a branch opened at the Miami Airport (MIA).
The corporate motto, “We Try Harder,” launched in 1962 as Avis was number two, and Hertz was number one. Precisely fifty years passed before a re-branding in 2012, the original slogan ceased when Avis unveiled a new motto “It’s Your Space.”
In the early 1970s, Avis introduced the earliest computer-based reservations and information system to be used in the US. The company still uses the original “Wizard” number for their frequent renters.
Avis added Jeep rentals in the early 2000s, beginning in temperate locales such as Hawaii, California, and Florida. Maybe you’ve never ridden in or driven a Jeep Wrangler; you’re in for a surprise. You’ll look ahead to every time you get behind the steering wheel, recognition to the Wrangler’s iconic look, which requests to go on outdoor escapades. Modern Jeep models are still suggestive of the original Jeep design. All Jeep Wrangler rentals include a powerful V6 motor. Take on any terrain and any climate in this enduring and sturdy vehicle.
Avis strives to offer the most useful vehicles in quality and reliability with all of our rentals, and Jeep Wrangler rentals are no anomaly.
Jeeps are favorite rides in cities and rural areas due to their ability to tackle steep rough terrain or city driving and cramped parking garages.
